This site has been fully rebuilt and expanded. Here’s what happened.

WordPress to Hugo#

The original uo.wzk.cz ran on WordPress since 2009, hosting 17 UO tool pages with 27 download files. In March 2026, the entire site was migrated to Hugo (a static site generator) and deployed on Cloudflare Pages. All original content, downloads, and URLs have been preserved.

Why the move? WordPress was overkill for what is essentially a frozen archive — no comments, no dynamic content, just static tool pages and downloads. Hugo builds the entire site in under a second, costs nothing to host, and will keep working for years without maintenance.

Manawydan Archive Rescued#

The bigger news: ultima.manawydan.cz (originally at eranova.cz) has been merged into this site.

For those who don’t know — RadstaR ran a comprehensive UO tools archive from 2004 to 2016, collecting editors, convertors, server emulators, and tutorials for Ultima Online development. It was the go-to Czech resource for UO modding. The site was hosted by Manawydan.cz (a Czechoslovak UO shard) and later went offline when the hosting expired.

Golfin from the UO Erebor community had cached the entire Manawydan archive on his servers, preserving it from being lost. In March 2026, we recovered this cache — 176 MB of tools, screenshots, tutorials, and downloads — and merged it into uo.wzk.cz.

What’s New#

The merged archive now contains:

  • 107 tool and tutorial pages (up from 17)
  • ~200 download files totaling ~200 MB (up from 27 files)
  • 4 Czech-language tutorials by RadstaR on creating items, animations, buildings, and working with MUL/verdata files
  • Server emulators: RunUO (versions 1.0 through 2.6), RunUO RE, SunUO, GemUO
  • New tool categories: Server, UOKR/SA, Tutorials
  • Author attribution: Tools are tagged by their creators — RadstaR, Arya, Orbsydia, Punt, Kons, Ravenal, VD

Tools from the Manawydan archive are marked with a green MW badge throughout the site.
